Doesn’t being a food and travel writer sound like the dream? Well, for today’s guest it’s all reality… John Gregory-Smith is the fabulous food and travel writer, chef, and cookbook author who specialises in Middle Eastern and North African cuisines. He travels far and wide to bring us unique recipes and untold tales. He’s just released his fifth cookbook, Saffron in the Souks, which takes us on a culinary adventure through Lebanon. John invited me over to his gorgeous flat in London where we drank strong Arabic coffee and talked about his latest book, about Lebanon and why he fell in love with the country, and how he went from working in recruitment to having, what I think, is pretty much the dreamiest job in the world.
